Here is a look at the left side of the Brose mid-drive motor. In this view you can also see the motor mount is a fully enclosed aluminum shell for protection of the motor. This pedal assist system uses a torque sensor. Providing the pedal assist up to 28 mph is the Brose mid-drive motor with 250 watts of power and up to 90 Nm torque. The hydroformed tubing has been shaped to provide a large surface area connection for added strength and stability. This is the seat tube connection at the mid-drive motor mount. There is a lot of internal cable routing on the frame and the downtube routing has a very clean organization of the 3 cables. The headtube itself is a good example of how the tubing has been shaped to provide more material where its needed (at the ends) while minimizing material at lower stress areas (in the center).Īlso note the smoothed welds that create a clean look with the tubes flowing together. The Moda frame is constructed with hydroformed 6061 aluminum tubing that has been shaped to place more material where it is needed at higher stress areas like the headtube, top tube, and downtube intersection. The Moda is also available in a step thru frame design and it is available in the Small (5′-3″ to 5′-6″) and Medium (5′-6″ to 5′-9″) frame sizes.
